I worked for over 30 years as a sales professional for an American mfg. company. I do not belive extricating a successful, establushed company from the tangle of global supply chains is possible. Also, the company I worked for was part of an American multi-national conglomerate. My friends and relatives working in manfacturing work for similar businesses, some Amercan based and some not. These huge comglimerates are nit going to sacrifice profits to revitalize US manufacturing. Starting from scratch with the expectation of being at all competitive? This video only showed the difficulty sourcing parts. It only tangentially touched on the problem of skilled labor. Anyone believing the Trumpian fantasy of a revitalization of Amercan manufacturing is delusional..

Agreed and it’s also going back to an era that’s now defunct. It would be like trying to resurrect the East India trading company here in the UK.

Stubbornness? If you don’t try? Look at all the recent budgetary cuts to grants for innovation for medical research or sustainability and educational purposes. We can have factories but not at the expense of losing what we have been building on based on need and proven data. And use the people with experience and commitment so we aren’t going backwards. 👵🏻

Corporate America and Greed killed made in America 🇺🇸 and that's a fact. My Dad was a skilled trades guy and now you'd be hard pressed to find one. America stopped training skilled Trades people so now we in the very near future will not have these people. They are begging for Carpenters Plumbers Electricians Tool and dye people who could run all kinds of machinery and fix it on the go, knew every part on the machines they worked with. Trained maintenance people for Furnace and Air-conditioning ALL kinds of Repair people the list goes on and on.

And if djt thinks he or anyone can throw a switch and suddenly it's all back up and running THINK AGAIN it doesn't work that way.

America BUSSINESS chose to stop all manufacturing here so THEY COULD MAKE MORE PROFIT FOR THEMSELVES AND NOBODY STOPPED THEM. MANY SKILLED PEOPLE LOST THEIR JOBS AND ALL THOSE JOBS WENT AWAY AND THAT WAS YEARS AND YEARS AGO.

NOBODY CARED HOW IT RUIN PEOPLE'S LIVES. IT WAS ALL ABOUT MONEY FOR THEM AND STILL IS.

IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE PRODUCTS THAT ARE MADE IN AMERICA BUT I FOR ONE DON'T SEE THIS HAPPENING ON A LARGE SCALE.

HERE IS ABOUT PROFIT

BUCKS OR US.

THERE ARE A FEW COMPANIES LIKE SPEED QUEEN WASHERS

WASHING MACHINES IN WISCONSIN THE BEST WASHING MACHINE MADE AND MADE WELL.

THERE ARE PROBABLY A FEW MORE IN AMERICA.

JUST REMEMBER AMERICA THREW THE BABY OUT WITH THE BATH WATER.

SKILLED PEOPLE TAKE TIME THEY JUST DON'T POP UP OUT OF NO WEAR AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

AMERICA ALSO NEVER WANTED TO INVEST IN TRADES SCHOOLS AND THAT IS AND WAS A HUGE MISTAKE.

JUST MY OPINION AND WHAT I HAVE OBSERVED.

And... who cares? I would only hope that whomever makes the products I purchase are treated fairly and the products themselves are sourced with sustainability in mind. I'm sure Donald cares little for either of those topics.

America first is knee-jerk nationalism, a dog whistle for bigots and haters.

And my neighbor, a staunch Trump Duped-porter replied, as earnestly only as a cult member can, moving in, looking straight in my eyes: “That’s the way it has to be, temporarily, to turn things around. Trump has it all in hand. You will see.” And there it stands.

Until last week I thought my mom was just a “normal” old school republican. She didn’t really see what was happening, but could be educated, I thought. Then I realized she was just as brainwashed. Not necessarily by Trump, but by the men throughout her life in MS. I keep trying 🤦🏼‍♀️

It’s been that way for so long too. Have you read ‘Educated’ by Tara Westhouse? It really helped me see how MAGA is so endemic in the USA.

I am not a big griller, but I know people who are. Sixty dollars is well worth it when compared to the cost (alone) of a trip to an Emergency Room.
