I think it’s easy amidst all the chaos to think that nothing is really changing and Trump is quite literally getting away with murder.
Nothing could be further from the truth. There is a slow revolution happening in the shadows that is changing the world order for ever.
Trump’s perception that he’s winning is beyond delusional. In geopolitics, things move slowly, especially when the architect of the current world order goes rogue.
The rest of the world is quietly rewiring trade and economic cooperation to remove dependency on the U.S. from the new order. It’s not about exclusion, it’s about non reliance, which is the important factor, and it WILL change the way the world operates.
There was only ever going to be one beneficiary of this shift and that’s China. The American elite will say, go ahead but be careful what you wish for when you get into bed with the commies.
The world is now of the view that it can’t be worse than being allies to America. I’m not sure I share that view 100%, but I fully understand why that might be the view. That’s never a thought that crossed anyone’s mind before Trump.
